allow me to reintroduce myself
As the world begins to open up and travel commences, I can’t hold back my excitement for what’s next. I recognize that we’re still in the midst of a very serious global situation and we may be ever changed by all that has occurred in the last 18 months. However, today I’m allowing myself to feel a bit of hope on the horizon as I think about the future.
If the last several months have taught me nothing else, I’ve learned that you need to embrace every moment while you still have the ability to do so. There has been so much change and loss in recent history, so when I get a moment of happy, I hold on tight. That can be something as small as discovering a new cocktail ingredient (hibiscus, do yourself a favor, layer in hibiscus to your next drink and YUM!) to something as large as booking my next big trip (so excited about that and the countdown begins, can’t wait to share more).
The image I’m sharing here was from my 41st birthday trip where I popped some confetti on the beach and allowed myself to breathe in all the joy of that moment. Sometimes making your own party can be the best celebration. Even if it takes you about 14 tries to pop the confetti.
No matter what your happy looks like, take a minute today and just breathe it in. You’ll be glad that you did.
