Play in the sunshine

I always like how Ciroc switches up the flavors, but the new Summer Citrus was a bit too sweet for me upon the first try. However, I created a homemade sour mix and balanced it out with some dry champagne and it was a hit! This may be my new favorite summer mimosa to take to brunch. Definitely worth a try!

Ingredients:

1oz Summer Citrus Ciroc

1oz Limoncello

2-4 oz Champagne

.5oz Homemade Sour Mix

For Homemade Sour Mix:

Combine 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil and boil until the sugar is completely dissolved. Let cool. Add 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice and 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice and stir to combine. If you aren’t using immediately, refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Directions:

  1. Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice until cold (at least 30 seconds)

  2. Strain into a champagne glass

  3. Top with brut champagne

  4. Garnish with a cherry and enjoy!
